My name is Paul Herman and I am the Owner of Great Lakes Express.  We are a small virtual airline based out of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport flying to most destinations in the Midwest and on the East Coast.  In the “real world” I am a Production Manager at a manufacturing company just outside of Cleveland.  When I am not at my “real job” I can be found in the GLE paint shop working on any number of projects or in the marketing department working on our website.  When I am not at any of these three places I am usually in the air in either a Boeing 737-500 or a Dash 8-200.

Great Lakes Express was originally founded by Chuck King as a division of Voyager Virtual Airlines.  I was after Mr. King for several years to give me the opportunity to run Great Lakes Express.  In July of 2009 Chuck sent me an email asking if I still wanted to take over GLE.  Since Great Lakes Express was the very first airline I flew for my answer was obvious.  At that time I was running an airline that I founded, Premier Airways.  The airline was very successful but the challenge of Great Lakes Express was to good for me to turn down.  I hired a new CEO for Premier Airways and I went to work on Great Lakes Express.  Premier Airways has since ceased operations but Great Lakes Express is stronger than ever, active pilots, structured hubs and a small regional fleet.  Great Lakes Express focuses on financial and organizational realism bringing every virtual pilot into a world of extreme realism.
